Diary of an elevator (Part 3)
Date: Nov 3 2022
Dear Diary,
Today a new elevator moved in! As soon as she moved in I was ready to say “Hi! Will you be my friend?” but Ellie beat me to it. She said, “EMILY?! IS THAT REALLY YOU?!”. Clearly, Ellie knew this elevator. Ellie then explained how Emily was her friend who helped her in all the rough times. I said hi to Emily but she gave me a face, a face that had ew-who-are-you-why-are-you-stealing-my-friend written all over it. Ellie continued chattering with Emily but every once in a while, Emily gave me a glare, well, she clearly didn’t like me.
Kaitlyn came after that, so she cheered me up. I decided to stop being a total chicken and talk to Ellie about Emily’s behavior, but then before I could tell Ellie, Emily whispered something into Ellie’s ear, and then Ellie said “Sorry, Ella. Emily feels left out when I talk to you.”. Excuse me, but that was the stupidest thing I’ve ever heard come out of someone’s mouth. Even Sally isn’t as stupid as Emily! I only said 5 words and then Emily is like “ElLiE I’M fEeLiNg LeFt oUt ElLa’S tAlKiNg To yOu ToO mUcH”. The scent of an attention seeker is so strong even I can smell it, and I don’t even have a nose! When Emily was sleeping I decided to talk to Ellie. Ellie said that Emily doesn’t want her to talk to me, but I insisted that Emily was not listening and we could go on about ourselves. I gave her a piece of my mind and said “Emily is using you, can’t you see? She wants you all to herself. She doesn’t feel left out. She wants to keep you all to yourself. Soon I bet, she will betray you. So don’t get your hopes up high for this so-called “friend”.” Emily then shouted “HEY! NONE OF THAT IS TRUE! Ellie, my bestie for life, why would I ever use you? Don’t stay away from me! If anything, stay away from this Ella girl.” Ellie then looked at Emily in such a kind way, as if she was thankful for what Emily had just told her. Then she glanced at me. The same glance that greeted me when I met Emily. The eyes burnt me so badly. Her hatred had spread throughout all of my metal like wildfire. For the first time, I kind of felt… alone.
